I recently had four PFM crowns placed in the front of my mouth. I'm also a smoker and I'm worried that once my new crowns become yellow, there won't be any way to fix them. Is there a treatment available to whiten all of my teeth?

PFM stands for porcelain fused to metal. These crowns have metal underneath the porcelain and usually are not very aesthetic because they tend to be opaque and sometimes the metal shows through the porcelain at the top.
The good news is, the porcelain will be very difficult to stain or discolor. So you don't have to worry about them yellowing. The bad news is that you can't whiten the PFMs, and they will pretty much stay the color that they are now.
Smoking may color them yellow slightly, but regular hygienic cleanings in the dental office should help keep the yellow off.
