How can I incorporate my winter makeup with spring? Do I have to get a totally new set of shades? What new shades are in during spring?

A: Transitioning your winter makeup into spring isn't as complicated as most seem to believe. The heavy powders that you avoided in winter to prevent the ashy look are still avoided in Spring to achieve a dewy glow. The colors are pretty much the same just a bit softer. Winter makeup colors such as browns and maroons get toned down. And the heavy eye liners are eliminated. Try these tips: continue to use your lipsticks sparingly. instead of applying lip color straight from the tube, try dabbing it on your lips with your finger and shine with lipgloss or lip balm. Lighten the shade of your eyshadows by first dabbing your brush in translucent powder and then eyeshadow. Tap off any excess eyeshadow before applying it. Keep blush soft and sweet. Your basic eyeshadow pallet should include tan, soft brown, rose, gray, sheer white and bronze. These you can mix, match and blend all year round. If you want to add more Spring colors to your basic collection, try a soft blue or green shadow. Sheer Pinks and corals look divine on the lips.
