What to do to receive maximum relaxation from a massage

  • Arrive 5 minutes early and be comfortable with the facility. As you receive a robe to change, remove all clothing and jewelry.  However, If you feel secure with undergarments on, leave it on.  During your massage, your therapist keeps your entire body draped and only undrapes that portion massaged.

  • When your therapist asks whether there is anything you like him/her to be aware, feel free to express your needs so as to receive specific attention to trouble spots.

  • Relax; this is time for your body to release tension and stresses of the day. However, your body relaxes only if you let it.  Deep breathing and closing of your eyes will assist in your complete relaxation.

  • Trust your massage therapist to move your limbs in whatever position is necessary for the massage.

Let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable for any reason such as temperature or massage pressure.
